    Travis, A band from Scotland

    Location:
    The Fillmore
    at Irving Plaza

    Details:
    July 14, and 15, 2007

Having, long been regarded as the trailblazers for the emotionally engaging pop anthem, Travis can truly claim, on their fifth album The Boy With No Name, to have re-discovered what made us love them in the first place. Simply put, The Boy With No Name is a belting collection of bittersweet pop songs from the band who do bittersweet pop songs better than anyone. It's no exaggeration to say that every song - including the velcro-catchy bonus track - is a potential single.

"I'm not going to sit here and say this is the best record of the past 20 years" says
frontman Fran Healy, "But I think we've made a really good album. It feels like we're back."
Travis are back, and ready to resume their place on the airwaves, on stages and in people's affections. "After a time of feeling stuck, we feel like we can do anything," agree Healy. "We went through some dark places. But we've found our muse again."
The new highly-anticipated album includes the new hit single, "Closer." (From the Sony Music Store, Website.) "They are a band from Scotland which I feel could get more of a following from members of the club who like to check out the music scene." Anne O'Dea, HBO
