    The Round Hill Highland Games

    Location:
    Cranbury Park in Norwalk CT
    Directions to the Games(Map)

    Details:
    Rain or Shine!
Enjoy traditional Highland dancing, drum major, piping and drumming competitions, Scottish country dancing, heavy athletic competitions, amateur sports, children's games & crafts, and fabulous food & drink.
Plaids are proudly displayed in the Parade of Clans during opening ceremonies. Clans encourage visitors to trace their heritage and learn about their Scottish history. Children gather clan stamps on their Scottish Passport in order to win a prize, and clan war cries can be heard as the tug-o-war teams pull to victory!

Pipe Bands with their colorful tartans will be competing throughout the day. Highland Dance Competition begins in the morning at the dance pavilion. Scottish Country Dancers entertain and invite us all to join in the dancing.

Heavy Athletics bring competitors from all over to toss the Hammer, the Caber, the Weights and the Sheaf. Our traditional Scottish competition includes events for both women and men. Adults compete in amateur sport events, including running races and tug-o-war competition.

Children can have their picture taken with photo cutouts of the Loch Ness Monster, a Highland dancer, a Scottish chieftan or a beheaded Queen of Scotland! There are many activities for children of all ages, including crafts, running races, parent/child races and the children's tug-o-war.

The tempting smells of Scottish fish & chips and meat pies mingle with the traditional American grilling of hot dogs and hamburgers. Plenty of merchandise vendors provide a wide variety of Scottish and Celtic wares.

Don't miss the award presentations and massing of the bands during closing ceremonies, as the bands take center field to play Amazing Grace and end the day's activities.

Please come and join us for a festive day of family fun.
A good time will be had by all.

Don't forget to bring your folding chairs & sunscreen!
Sorry, but NO pets are permitted on the Park grounds.
