Volunteering
NEW YORK CALEDONIAN CLUB
VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE
As a non-profit, membership organization, the New York Caledonian Club is totally
dependant on the volunteer help of its members and friends.
Every event that the Club puts on from a Burns Supper to a Scottish Movie Night is
developed, organized and run by volunteers.
Every administrative task that we perform, from the Club's Website to its Newsletter,
is performed by volunteers.
Even the leadership of the Caledonian Club, the Board of Directors (made up of the
elected Officers and Directors) is composed entirely of volunteers.
The purpose of the Volunteer Committee is to promote effective volunteerism within the
Caledonian Club. It attempts to match the skills, interests and available time of the
volunteers, with the needs of the various Committees of the Club.
